Coaching
Careers evolve. You may be considering a career move, stepping into your first leadership role, preparing for a bigger position, navigating organisational change, returning to work, or simply asking yourself, “What next?”
Coaching provides the space to step back, reflect, challenge your thinking and make intentional choices about your career, leadership and future.
I work with professionals across career stages — from new managers to senior executives and C-suite leaders.
Gain clarity. Navigate change. Move forward with confidence.
Whether you are considering a career move, changing direction or preparing for your next opportunity, coaching can help you understand what you want and create a practical path forward.
Lead with greater confidence, presence and impact.
For experienced professionals and leaders looking to strengthen how they lead, communicate, influence and create impact.
From individual contributor to confident people leader.
The transition into management brings a new set of challenges. Coaching helps new managers develop the mindset, skills and confidence needed to lead effectively.
Step back. Reassess. Create what comes next.
Sometimes the question isn’t simply “What’s my next job?” It is “What do I want from the next phase of my career and life?”
Coaching can help you explore possibilities, reconnect with what matters and make purposeful choices.
Stay relevant in a rapidly changing workplace.
AI is reshaping roles, skills and career paths. I help professionals understand how their work is changing, identify capabilities they need to develop and create a practical plan for staying future-ready.
Support for the challenges that affect work, careers and wellbeing.
Drawing on more than 25 years of corporate HR experience and extensive coaching practice, I support professionals navigating workplace and career challenges that can affect confidence, relationships, performance and career direction.
How coaching works
Coaching is not about being given answers. It is about creating the space to think more deeply, see new possibilities and make choices that are right for you.
Together, we explore what matters, identify what may be holding you back, consider different perspectives and translate insight into purposeful action.
Clarify what you really want and define the outcomes that matter to you.
Explore your assumptions, patterns, strengths and perspectives — and consider what may need to change.
Experiment with new approaches, build capability and learn from your experiences.
Turn insight into sustained action and create meaningful change in the way you work, lead and navigate your career.
Considering a new role, changing direction or making a career pivot? Gain clarity about what you want and develop a practical strategy for moving forward.
Moving from individual contributor to manager, or from functional leader to Business Head or C-suite? Build the confidence, presence and leadership capability needed for the next level.
Considering what comes after your current role or career phase? Explore possibilities, reassess what matters and create a purposeful plan for what’s next.
Mentor Coaching for ICF Level 1 & Level 2 Coaches
Working towards your ICF credential or looking to deepen your coaching practice?
I offer structured, reflective mentor coaching designed to help coaches strengthen their application of the ICF Core Competencies, develop greater coaching awareness and build confidence in their practice.
As an ICF-registered Mentor Coach, I work with coaches pursuing Level 1 (ACC) and Level 2 (PCC) credentials.
Strengthen your coaching. Deepen your practice. Grow as a coach.
Mentor coaching is a collaborative learning relationship. My role is not to tell you how to coach, but to help you observe, reflect, experiment and develop your own coaching capability.
About Ruth
I believe meaningful career growth begins with the willingness to pause, reflect and ask better questions.
I am an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with more than 25 years of experience across Human Resources, leadership and organisational development.
My corporate career gave me first-hand experience of the realities of organisations, leadership, workplace relationships, performance and career decisions. I have worked across manufacturing, financial services, FMCG, pharma, retail and other sectors, including senior HR leadership roles.
Today, I bring together three perspectives:
I help clients:
My approach is grounded in curiosity, reflection, practical action and continuous learning.
My coaching philosophy
I don’t believe coaching is about telling people what they should do.
It is about creating the space to think, reflect, discover and choose.
My role is to help you see possibilities, challenge assumptions, recognise your strengths and explore perspectives that may not be immediately visible.
Ultimately, the choices belong to you.
My responsibility is to create a thoughtful, confidential and non-judgmental space in which you can make those choices with greater clarity and confidence — and turn insight into purposeful action.
Why Ruth
Coaching grounded in real-world corporate experience
I don’t just understand leadership and career challenges from a coaching perspective. I have experienced the corporate world from within.
For more than 25 years, I worked in HR and senior HR leadership roles — managing people, advising leaders, building HR functions, navigating organisational change and dealing with the everyday realities of the workplace.
That experience gives me a practical understanding of the situations my clients bring to coaching.
Managed HR for 1,800 management staff across 17 plant locations, gaining extensive exposure to multi-site manufacturing HR, plant culture, performance, workforce practices and leadership development.
Built and led the HR function for a 600+ employee group, covering HR operations, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation and employee relations.
Led the HR function across Institutional Equity, Retail Broking, Insurance, Investment Banking and Wealth Management.
I have coached professionals and leaders across a wide range of industries, functions and career stages.
What clients say about working with me
Every coaching relationship is different. These reflections from clients highlight some of the ways coaching has helped them gain clarity, confidence and greater impact.
Ruth doesn’t offer generic advice. She tailors her approach to your specific situation. Her ability to listen deeply and ask the right questions helped me grow into my Director role with more confidence and clarity than I thought possible.
Ruth helped me find my purpose. That soul-searching work is at the core of everything else. She pushes the limit, sets timelines, and makes sure learnings carry forward session to session.
You anchored me out of the dense and dark jungle of uncertainty, low confidence, and self-doubt. Your experience and expertise were evident in every interaction.
